The spotlight flickered, trembled, like a pale, neurotic moth in a flame. ... "Just do it, already." ~Sapph0's short story Coffee and Bubble-gum glows with unexpected warmth, and will make you wish you'd been nicer to those poor, fear-stricken kids who were never cut out for the stage.

When Nathan joined the infantry, he expected to die soon, but he had no idea what he'd discover about himself along the way. Told through two opposite parallel timelines--one in data logs and the other in real time--=GunShyMartyr's Death of Nathan Caulfield is a story of transition, purpose and fulfillment. Read it and discover why survival is sometimes a greater hell than war.

Met by ~PoetMe is succinct and well-crafted. The description and ending sentence introduce the poem excellently: 'a meeting of eyes'.

Gallery Pages
You have probably noticed that the gallery pages (
literature.deviantart.com
) have been redirected to the browse page. We are waiting on links to the literature forum and news to be added to the browse page. We expected this to happen last week but we took some time to discuss the best way forward. The links will be added soon (lala) but we have decided that we need to get community input on the options available. In this week's Artist Relation newsletter moonbeam13 will be asking for your input, thoughts, and ideas on what you want the gallery pages to be, so please keep an eye on the news and let us know your views.

All your life
Inspired by old friends updating olds friends I figured, what the bloody hell, let's do an update Toni.
coshdaddy (https://www.deviantart.com/coshdaddy) and I have been married for 7 whole years! We have a little girl who is not so little now and will be 3 very soon. She is scrumptious. I gave up my job earlier this year and now I make _things_ from concrete and wood for fun/art/spare cash. Life has shifted tremendously and so have priorities and things that fill my heart.
Life still splats sadness around me but it's easier to draw love hearts in the window dust to let moonlight in.
A toddler's giggle is the best sound ever.
Mama called you baby center stage
we are both swimming blind
bite your cake, sip your brew
math
(...)you're still very loveable
I have a favour to ask (it's a big one) and it requires a certain amount of your time but I hope I am worth it.
Here goes.
Tell me about yourself in 56 words.
Writing with limits is good. Learning about people is fascinating.
